Community rules
Everyone here is an adult.
Rishta is for people who want to find a marriage partner, and for their families. You are responsible for what you say and do here, and we are not here to judge anybody’s life. We do three things: make it easy to report, read every report quickly, and remove people who harm others.
What is not okay
Harassment, threats or abuse
Of anyone, in a message, a photo or a note. Pressing someone after they said no counts.
Spam and selling
No adverts, no mass messages, no links to other sites or apps, no recruiting.
Asking for money
Never ask a member for money, gifts or financial help, whatever the story. Nobody genuine does.
Pretending
Fake or borrowed photos, a false age or job, someone else’s ID, a second account after you were removed.
Sharing other people’s things
Their photos, messages, phone number or details, without their say-so.
Anything illegal
Or explicit photos or messages sent to someone who did not ask for them.
If someone does this to you
- Open their profile and tap Block or report. You are blocked from each other straight away, before anybody has looked.
- A person on our team reads every report, and we aim to do it within 48 hours.
- We may warn them, remove their profile, or end their account. People who keep doing it are removed for good.
- If something is serious (a threat, a scam, anything involving a child), we may pass it to the police.
Not a member, or cannot reach their profile? Tell us here.
What we cannot do
We check every profile’s ID before anyone can see it, but we cannot vouch for anybody once you meet. What happens between two adults, here or offline, is theirs to decide. Meet in a public place the first few times, tell somebody where you are going, and never send money. There is more on theSafety page.
The legal wording is in our Terms (section 4).
